01 · Context

Company Background

I-Liang specializes in plastic injection molding for textile machinery, electric meters, airsoft equipment, and diving accessories. Unlike typical manufacturers, they've built deep partnerships with industrial designers—offering full process support from concept through production, with flexible capabilities for small-batch work.

The Problem.

01

Decision 01

Research revealed a gap between I-Liang's design-forward culture and the traditional, cost-focused perception of plastic manufacturing. Their past collaborations with designers and participation in design innovation programs demonstrated creativity, yet the website failed to communicate this value to designers seeking manufacturing partners. The site showcased components without real-world context.

The Solution

We repositioned the website as a gateway for design-driven collaboration rather than a product catalog. The visual direction breaks from heavy manufacturing aesthetics with modular layouts, clean navigation, and generous white space—speaking directly to designers' expectations. New content emphasized small-batch expertise and full-process support. Upcoming features like the "3D Texture Swatch" showcase I-Liang's commitment to design-led innovation.
